The bally em is one of the first machines to require electricity for its function. They still use a mechanical clock to control the reel stops and odds, but but use switch logic to control multiple lines, coin multipliers, and payouts. Proper refurbishing of one of these machines can take up to a few days. Due to this fact we require an $80 inspection and $300 + parts refurbish cost.

Bally em machines have no printed circuit boards. If your machine has a board mounted to the left of the reels you have an e-1000. If it has boards mounted under the reels you have a summit conversion. One Arm Gambler does not work on either of these machines.
